Launching an interactivev maps meme site is serious business

Hello fellow meme mappers! How is it going? Today I walked down to the local pizzaria which I have some friends that work at and put up a poster that advertises Famous Meme Maps. While I'm friends with the folks down at Tito's, they have lots of customers from New Hamburg and surrounding area so this is the first time I've shared the site with someone outside my friend circle. It should be interesting to see how it pans out, I hope everyone who finds this site will be able to get some enjoyment out of it.

I'm writing this post to mark the time when Famous Meme Maps has gone live, it's a soft-launch but we can't have too fast growth as the hardware this site is on couldn't handle the traffic. My cousin Alex shared a map on Reddit the other day so Famous Meme Maps has been out there for a bit, but I'm not sure how many people saw it if any. The site is written to be scalable but there's some work behind the scenes as I iterate and refine Famous Meme Maps while having a bunch of meme mappers plugging away and making maps. My hometown of New Hamburg seems like a good place to solve any growing pains for the site, so if you encounter any bugs or want to try new features feel free to visit Famous Meme Maps on GitHub to file a bug report or feature request.
